Dropping out of the Election

As the presidential election is getting closer, people have to start making their decisions on who they really want to be elected. On the republican side, there has been a lot of confusion about who would be their best candidate. However, Ted Cruz and John Kasich have recently dropped out of the election. This makes Donald Trump the only candidate for the Republican Party. Although this doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s the automatic republican nominee, it does increase his chances.
Once Ted Cruz lost in Indiana to Donald Trump, he decided that he had to drop out for his benefit. If Cruz had won Indiana, he most likely would have still been in the election. However, since he didn’t, this also lead John Kasich to drop out. With two other candidates when Cruz was still in the campaign, Kasich thought that he may have had at least a little chance. After Cruz dropped out, this left only Kasich and Trump. Kasich knew that he wouldn’t win against Trump, so he thought that it was a sign and, therefore, dropped out.
